Official Rules and Regulations for ARTISTS
Artisanal ‘Holiday’ Bazaar
December 11 – 17 and December 18 – 24, 2009
The Artisanal ‘Holiday’ Bazaar is an OPEN CALL to ALL artisans who design and craft work in categories such as jewelry, glass, sculpture, ceramics, ornaments, home accessories & decor, textiles, women / men / kids / pet accessories.
There is a non-refundable $350 registration fee per participating artist per week.
(i.e. Dec 11 – 17 and Dec 18 – 24)
There is a 30% commission to Lyons Wier Gallery per item sold by the artist during the event.
Artists will be admitted to the Art Bazaar on a "First Come, First Serve" basis.
The $350 registration fee is required upon application in order to reserve a space.
Admission to the Artisanal Bazaar will close once the gallery is full and space has been allocated.
INSTALLATION TIMES:
Doors open to artists at 9am on Friday, December 11 & 18th for installation & set up.
DISMANTLE TIMES:
From 7pm on Thursday, Dec 17th
From 3pm on Thursday, Dec 24th
PUBLIC HOURS:
Monday – Saturday, 11am – 7pm
Sunday, 12pm – 7pm
Thursday, Dec 24th, 11am – 3pm
Each participant will be assigned a space by the gallery upon registration (approximately 10 feet wide x 10 feet high x 3 feet).
We request that artists or their representatives be present at the gallery during the exhibition to sell and market their work. The Gallery may accommodate sales on behalf of the artist for an additional commission upon request.
The artist is responsible for installing, marketing and maintaining their inventory and displays. Any artist who leaves their work unattended without notifying the gallery will forfeit their space and have their artwork removed.
The gallery requests that artists bring their own hanging / display supplies (i.e hammers, nails, hooks, wire, stands, frames, levelers, small displays or tables, etc). Please note that large screws or anchors are not permitted, only small or standard sized nails and hanging hooks allowed.
The gallery gladly accepts CASH / CREDIT CARDS for all sales.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS or EXCHANGES ALLOWED.
The gallery is responsible for collecting money from all artist sales at the front desk and will issue receipts to the buyer and seller. Artist sales tallies and payments will be made at the end of the event period.
There are NO LIMITATIONS on price, quantity, medium or size of the work as long as the work(s) fit within the artist's allocated ‘booth’ space.
The gallery strongly suggests that the artist bring a typed price list along with any other promotional material (such as business cards or postcards) to promote their work.
All artists must sign a WAIVER that acknowledges Lyons Wier Gallery is not responsible for any artwork transported to/from the gallery and for any damage, loss, theft occurring at/from the premises.
The artist acknowledges that Lyons Wier Gallery has the rights to their "likeness" or image as it broadcasts live feeds, video and webcasts on ArtBazaar.tv and other outlets during the exhibition.
If you have acquired a space in the Artisanal Bazaar and you have your own website, Lyons Wier Gallery will gladly post a link to your site on www.ArtBazaar.tv for the duration of the event.
